The Association for the Promotion of Campus Activities hosted three Educate, Enlighten, and Energize One Day Workshops in the South Central region June 19-21, 2013. During their visit, the APCA School Membership Coordinators, Michael Stephenson and Jondra Darden were able to visit Marjoree Harper, Director of Student Activities at Bossier Parish Community College in Bossier City, LA. They were able to take a tour of the facilities and meet with Marjoree to discuss upcoming events and new additions to APCA events that would help benefit her program. Here is what Marjoree had to say about the APCA staff visiting her campus, "It was wonderful to have Jondra and Michael at Bossier Parish Community College. We had a chance to sit down and talk about challenges facing higher education in Louisiana and how that APCA could help with those. It also gave them an opportunity to see our campus and how we program at our community college with limited space and resources."
On June 19, 2013 the APCA Team headed to Texas A&M - Texarkana where Celeste McNeil Coordinator for Student Engagement and Activities was the host of our first drive in. Yonna Pasch, Director of Student Activities at Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, LA gave an inspirational presentation about her story of adversity, adaptability, and being your own advocate titled, "When Life Hands you Lemons, Make Pink Lemonade."
